About Us

365 Projects and Consultants is a small yet incredily dynamic event, conference and exhibition organiser with a specialised service offering that covers the management of events, conferences, seminars, training, road shows, exhibitions, launches and social functions.

The “end to end” offering includes the creative design of the conference or event, an efficient project process covering all logistical aspects, sponsorship marketing, design of printed and electronic media, effective communication with suppliers and stake holders.

365 Projects & Consultants was founded in 2007 and is classified as a Small, Medium, Micro Enterprise (SMME) with a Level 4 BEE Status and not only manages events for other clients, they own and organise the annual Operational Hospital Management Conference (OHMC) which has emerged as the leading conference in South Africa aimed at improving performance and the quality of services at public hospitals.

Our strengths lie in the ability to create fresh, original & dynamic content for each project –always offering clients a unique and inspirational experience. Our success is largely due to the passionate team we have put in place who spend time researching the industry and taking the time to meet with stake holders and have a hands on approach with all management involved in delivering events with a “hands-on” approach.

 

Meet the Team

Claire Badenhorst

After working in the graphic design and technical drawing industry, Claire began her career in the events industry when she joined Simon Robinson’s team at Thebe Exhibitions in 2004. She quickly got promoted to senior Coordinator and worked on various exhibitions and conferences. In 2006 she was given the opportunity to assist Simon in project managing Mediatech Africa. She left Thebe Exhibitions in 2007 to start a small events consulting company of her own. She has since joined Simon again in his new venture and has worked on the Operational Hospital Management Conference for 2 consecutive years where she has handled the marketing, public relations, content and logistics of the conference. She has also assisted Simon manage golf days and other events. Claire has experience in all aspects of managing exhibitions and events, from marketing, graphic design, logistics and all facets in between.

Simon Robinson

Simon started 365 Projects in 2007 and took over the Operational Hospital Management conference which is an event run annually by 365 Projects. Simon handed over the control of 365 Projects to Melanie in early 2010 and has taken on a new role as publisher of Screen Africa and the management of Mediatech Africa for Thebe. This allows him to focus his efforts on the Broadcast, Media, and Entertainment & Technology Sector and further develop this market.

Simon has 10 years of hands-on event management experience and has successfully developed and managed small to large events. While working for Thebe Exhibitions and Projects, Simon headed-up and successfully ran a number of events from 2000 to 2007. These included: WaterSport Africa, The Supersport Show, Sports Illustrated New Model Search, Spingbok Team Signings and media events, Business and Franchise events, The Cape Town Book Fair, and MediaTech Africa to name a few.

Self-motivated and ambitious with a solid understanding in marketing events, Simon has a strong leaning towards operations and systems; he is at his best finding practical solutions and ways to deliver to the market place, giving him the flexibility to successfully head up and deliver excellent results on his projects.

Melanie Robinson

Currently Melanie consults to Thebe Exhibitions and Projects for the Decorex Portfolio while also taking on other projects where she can apply her vast knowledge of marketing and project management. Her strengths lie in her creative approach to projects and her attention to detail while ensuring delivery with maximum return.

Paula Mnisi

Paula grew up in Phalaborwa in Limpopo Province. She completed her matric at Majeje high school in 1997 and she started working at the age of 22 where she worked as a till operator at Akanani bakery and Truworths. She moved to Johannesburg in 2000 where she worked as a domestic worker while studying a part time certificate in Book keeping and Computer studies. Paula's first professional job was as a receptionist at Toshiba before joining 365 projects as a learner Conference co-ordinator.
